Lake Wenatchee State Park
A clear blue lake surrounded by mountains, whose eyes can deny being captivated by that? Lake Wenatchee has 489 acres of hiking, biking, boating, and camping. There is 12,623 feet of waterfront to enjoy on glacier-fed Lake Wenatchee and the Wenatchee River. There are 197 campsites, 42 with water and electric. The campground has restrooms with showers, a dump station, and a store during the summer. It is located 16 miles from the Bavarian town of Leavenworth. Sites are by reservation in the prime season. We visited in October and got a great site by just pulling in, no reservations for us......the perks of off season travel. We were in site #158.

Nearby Hikes and Sights.....
Sugarloaf Peak Lookout - We found this completely by accident. Just out driving logging roads as we often do and we stumbled upon it. I don't even want to post directions as I am not sure I could retrace our steps. One day soon I will google it and post directions for you all. A great view from the top...... the wind was whipping through.... so cold!
