Schweitzer Mountain Ski Parking Lot
If you have visited many of my other pages you might have noticed that we frequent Ski Parking lots. RVs are common in the winter but ski lots are also great in the summer. Most resorts that have downhill mountain biking or other on mountain summer activities allow summer overnight parking. On this road trip we stayed here twice, before and after our one night stay at Farragut Lake. We intended to downhill mountain bike but the weather was a tad too hot to leave the dog in the camper so we enjoyed the food and drink at Pucci's Pub and the view instead. The lot is large and fairly flat and a quick walk uphill to the base activities and restaurants. No hookups or open facilities so vehicles must be self-contained. In 2017 they did not charge a fee, although many ski resorts are starting to.
