Wynoochee Lake Dispersed Site
The Wynoochee Lake area is just 60 miles from where we live so it is an area we have camped many times. When we started camping in this area a majority of the road to get there was rough gravel, which greatly cut down on the crowds. Now, most of it is paved and thus the area is more frequented, especially the established Coho Campground. But peace can still be found on the opposite side of the lake from the main campground, especially in off season. Here we have stayed in several dispersed sites where the lake meets the river at the north end. If you like to ride bikes or go for drives, there are 3 waterfalls in the area that can be explored.... details are below!
Getting Here:
From Montesano, WA, Take Wynoochee Valley Rd for approximately 39 miles. At about 33 miles the road to Coho Campground will be to the left. Dispersed Sites are straight ahead on Wynoochee Valley road.
