Wood River Forest Service Campground
10 miles north of Ketchum, ID sits this pretty campground along the Big Wood River. 30 heavily forested sites with average privacy and space between sites. There are no hookups and no reservations. There is drinking water and flush toilets in the campground. We used it as a base camp for exploring the Sun Valley area and it worked great. In 2015 the fee was $14 per night. There is a short trail in the campground that has wood platforms and meanders by a beaver pond, nice for an after dinner stroll. The Wood River trail also passes by the campground. It is a paved trail that can be used year round and goes 20 miles. Great for a long bike ride!
