Phil's Trail Dispersed Sites

There are several sites that sit in and around the Phil's Trail Mountain Biking system. Very convenient for bikers like us! Our spot was isolated at the end of a road and though it was very private, nobody can tell that the site is occupied until they get down to the end so there were several people who drove down the road to camp and had to turn around. No facilities around the dispersed sites, however there is a "toilet" at the main parking area for the trails.

Getting Here:

From downtown Bend, take NW Galveston Ave towards Century Drive. Go straight past Century Dr and continue for 3.3 miles. NW Galveston will turn into Skyliners Rd and you continue to go straight. You will pass lots of residential areas as well as a school on your right. After you pass the school you will continue for .8 miles and then the road will be on your left. Turn to the left and the actual Phil's Trails parking will be about .5 miles in on the right. Note that there is a "toilet" here if you do not have self-contained facilities on board. There are several dispersed spots to camp in this area like the one above. Just drive around till you find one you like.

Phil's Trails

From our site all we had to do is hop on our bikes and go! There are miles and miles of trails, we did Ben's Trail, Kent's Trail, Phil's Trail, KPG, and many more! Very fun trails with some views as well.

Deschutes River Trails

We also hiked another section of the Deschutes River Trail system. This trail system is great for casual walks and dogs can find a spot to take a little swim as well! For pictures of another section of the trail see our other Bend OR pages - click here!
