Lake Powell - Lone Rock Beach
Right on the shores of Lake Powell you can enjoy primitive camping with plenty of sunshine and water to cool down. We only planned to spend one night here, but had such a fun relaxing water day we decided to stay a second night. It is dispersed camping, which allows you to park as near the water as you want, but also doesn't prevent another rig from parking right next to you. Midweek in May this was great and not too many parked close together. However by Friday morning the rigs were rolling in and it was starting to get much more crowded so we decided to move along, it looks like weekends here might be a tad crazy! There are outhouses on the beach for those without facilities on board. There are also beach showers up above the camping area. And and a RV dump here as well. Fee in 2016 was $14 per night.
