Ponderosa State Park
Ponderosa State Park is a huge State Park on the shores of Payette Lake in McCall ID. 163 sites huge! We didn't have much time to explore here, mostly just used the park for a campsite to spend one night. The campsites are basic or with hookups depending on which site you choose. They are in large loops, paved, nice and flat. They are average in privacy. The pull through sites are large enough to accommodate big RVs. The park is very spread apart and to pay for your campsite you will have to drive or ride a bike way back out to the entrance, which is a little inconvenient. The park offers miles of trails for hiking or biking and waterfront too. There are very tame deer all over, they were driving Mason crazy! I really wish we could have stayed longer. On our list for a future visit for sure!
